As you know,
I took some picturs of the band Moore a few days ago.
You can see them in this album:

At my grandfather's funeral,
I sang and played guitar and my mother played the fluit.

I would like to let you hear it.
There are some mistakes but it doesn't matter to me,
it is all about the thought.

Enjoy my version of 'Sleep Like A Child' by Joss Stone
(it's very soft, so turn up the volume!!):

Tonight when the darkness comes
Why don't we treat it like a friend
Then we'll both be glad to see the night
And we'll be hoping it's never gonna end

So don't be afraid
of what the night-time may bring
You must understand
that you can dream of anything
So fall into sleep
peaceful and deep
And may this journey
help you fly

When you can't hold out much longer
don't you cry
When the darkness is getting stronger

Sleep like a child
peaceful and deep
And when you lay it down
I pray your soul to keep

Sleep like a child
peaceful and deep
And when you lay you down
I pray your soul to keep

-fluit-

Tonight when the darkness comes,
why don't we treat it like a friend.

Yesterday I was asked to take some pictures at a party, and today
I took some photo's for the band Moore.
It was a lot of fun, because I hadn't been to their concerts for a while
and I went with two amazing friends, so..

It's getting later and later,
and I have to get up early for school tomorrow,
so I will post the pictures of the party yesterday and the concert today
later this week.

But for now, I would like to show you one picture I made of the singer of
MOORE, as a foretaste:

Friends are so important,
without all of them I wouldn't want to live.
I love you guys..

Here is a picture that was made a few months ago
at the birthday of one of my dearest friends; Nusch.

Enjoy.

Aaaaaah!
I just bought tickets for the TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB concert in de Melkweg, Amsterdam at the 20th of November. Couldn't be more excited.

So weird, I discovered this band in London, three and a half week ago, and I listened to them NON STOP after that.

So you can probably imagine how happy I am right now..

Well, for today, another song of this wonderful band:

So, I've been to Amsterdam this weekend to do an interview with the filmmaker Mostafa Heravi at the LideSide Festival in the Westergasfabriek. After that I went to SAIL, an enormous sial festival in Amsterdam. It was great, especially with a fireworkshow at the end. I made a few pictures but I can't put them into the computer, so I will show you them later.

For today I would like to show you a few photos of a photoshoot from Lindsay Lohan that inspires me a lot:

What a day.

We buried my grandfather today, and it was very beautiful.
The ceremony, the graveyard, the surroundings, all the supporting people..

My grandfather's name was Jacques van Esch,
JACOBUS CORNELIS PETRUS ANNA.

He lived from
03-03-'33 - 13-08-'10.

And I would like to give him a moment here.

Dear grandpa,
I miss you.
It hurts so bad that I am not able to talk to you, see you, laugh with you, hold you ever again..
And it freaks me out that I have no idea where you are, or if you even are somewhere..
I don't know what to believe; if there is life after death or not, but if there is.. I really hope that you are happy, where ever you are or will be..

I love you, and I will never forget you!

I would never change all what I’ve been through.
Even not the unfortunately parts! I’ve learned from them, confined them.
And right now. I feel like I’m back at the start line!
Up for a new round. A different one. But completely ready to run everyone out!
I feel like.. I could rule the world! ..my world.
How big my world is, I don’t know yet! What is in my world, I don’t know yet either.
But still, I feel completely stable! Able to make it!
I WILL RUN THIS ROUND; WISDOM IN THE POCKET, WIDE OPEN ARMS, WIDE OPEN LUNGS, COMPLETELY FULL OF ENERGY!
Ì will be ahead at the finish line!

Now wish me luck, ‘cause I’m.. OFF!

Our HUNDREDTH post on:

Time runs out on us and we can nearly keep up all what we're going through!
Looking back at e-ve-ry-thing, we might slowly realize the main reason of it all: enjoying life and being able to love all what’s coming, all what’s already left behind; but mostly; living the moment and being filled with the joy of life. JOIE DE VIVRE.
To capture the moments we live, we believe film and photography is one of the best (although, nothing competes the heart & the memories ourselves).

Anyhow. As celebration for our hundredth post.. our own little exhibition of top past moments we captured and shared with you and now.. leaving behind!

We really hope you're enjoying this blog and we're ready to make it even more exciting!

With lots of love,

Roos & Tisha!

ps. Congratulations for Roelof Meijer (Roos' dad: it's his birthday) !

Time flies.
So incredibly fast,
that sometimes I can't keep up.

Like now.
Tisha and I had our last day in London today,
we are leaving in 3 hours.

It's so weird,
We have been here for 8 days but it just feels like one very long day.

Today we have been to the Photographers Gallery, near Oxford street. There was an exposition of my ultimate favourite photographer: Sally Mann.
(Some of her works: http://jdv-joiedevivre.blogspot.com/2010/07/210710_21.html)

Ofcource it was truely amazing.

Afterwards we hade dinner and went to Southbank, via Picadilly Circus. Walking in London while it's getting later and darker feels so great.
Als these beautiful lights and all the people.
It's amazing.

Tisha and I managed to make a little film.
I made pictures of Tisha in the croud en put them together.
Here is the result, enjoy:
