It's almost a year ago that Tisha and I spent our summer in London.
And here we are now, packing out bags to continue our holiday.
I was just going through some stuff and I found a little thing that Tisha and I got from my aunt Anne last year.
I would like to share it with you guys.
Made by Edward Monkton.
Okay, it's a bit dull, but I like the thought of it!

So.
Tisha and I are going to London tomorrow.
Just the two of us.
FINALLY.
We have waited almost a year
so we are incredibly excited.
LONDON.
It's seriously the most entertaining city I've ever been.
I mean, the city is beautiful, there is so much to do (museums, shopping-upportunities, good clubbing, music, pubs) and everybody speaks the lovely language ENGLISH.
Tisha and I went to London last year with family, so we quite know what to expect right now.
For example:
There is a Starbucks in almost every single street. We's spent a lot of time there, and I think that won't change this year ;)
We also absolutely lóved the skatespot @ Southbank.
All the graffity was so inspiring for both of us. So I think we'll go there too this year.
And further, the famous spots like Trafalgar Square, Picadilly Circus, Covent Garden, Camden Market are all making are what-to-do-list.
And then there are some stores we didn't visit last year but we would really like to visit them next week:
- Urban Outfitters
- Primark
- Topshop
.....
And ofcource.
We are not only sight-seeing, shopping, partying etc.
We are also on a mission.
Posting something every single day on JOIEDEVIVRE.
And our heads are full of ideas!
To be continued...

Monday evening, I returned from my 6-days-holiday in Italy.
Because I've spent a lot of time on the beach, in the sea etc. I didn't make a lot of pictures because I didn't want to risk anything by taking my camera to the beach.
But, there was one day that my family rented a car, and that we drove around in Italy (we were in the Southern of Italy by the way). I absolutely loved it. All the houses look really antique, and I made a few photo's of it.

24th of July, 2010.
Woke up at 9.30am and turned on my computer to check out the surfconditions; I was full of energy!
I often also check out some new photo's and today..this popped on my screen:
Who doesn't get excited for a day at the beach?
After I checked the surfconditions ..even by using a live cam!: "http://www.rederij-trip.nl/a/doc.asp?docid=12"
I knew exactly what I was up for that morning: A surf session.
As soon as I had made myself a good breakfast and quickly took a shower, I made myself and my bike (which needs to carry my board.. I'm sorry I don't have pictures.. You can guess: the camera didn't work well yet! ) ready TO GO!
'Cause my parents and twin-sister would come home @ 5pm (didn't saw them for 3 weeks), I had all the time in the world so I also took a Book, My analog camera, iPod and a towel with me.
Once on the beach.. the iPod, the sun.. I FELL ASLEEP! YES. I KNOW. STUPID. Thought I had all the energy in the world but.. guess not.
So when I woke up and took my camera near by the water to shoot some photo's, did sit around for a little while watching the sea and the surfers... I discovered it was already 3.20pm. TIME RUN OUT ON ME! .. I planned to cook for my family so I had no time left to ride a wave myself.. what a shame!
Anyway. Before I knew it.. my family was already home! Did actually miss them so I was excited!
We ate together and my sister went to her boyfriend who she hadn't see for 2 weeks and my parents and I watched: When In Rome. Pretty Hilarious actually: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G0J6GC4Pbo
.
And then: MY STEPDAD. He's works with computers so he knew exactly what I needed to do with the video problem I had friday..
Yippieee! So...
first result! It's just a little experimental thing.
Even for the recordings themselves:
When I was taking a picture with Roos' camera of the sun, I noticed that the light through the viewfinder(eyespiece) or how you might call it.. (?).. looks mostly overexposed.Although I was able to shoot a photo of it where you didn't have that.interesting.. I wanted to get that on film.. so I kind of filmed with my camera what the viewfinder of Roos' camera actually saw (if you just take the surface from the viewfinder of course)..
Check out yourself!:
haha. What and absolute abruptly ending! Sorry guys. Just an experiment!

FRUSTRATIONS!
At 6pm I thought about making a SHORT video... tried for 3 ** hours but the ** program doesn't except my freaking video's. What the hell?
..*sigh*..
No need for stress! =) Don't like that. Just disappointed I'm not able to show you guys a short self-made video.. had it all figured out..oh and my camera also (still) doesn't work how it's supposed to be.. Well. MAYBE ANOTHER TIME ! Who knows!?
For now. I'll just post a video of someone else which I really like.
It's a curious one.
It has unexpected turns.
It's a trip (always in to a travel).
I love the city, the buildings, the morning light.
And the repeating tune fits the sphere exactly..: on the go!
..It's the music video of "Open Your Eyes by Snow Patrol"

I have to admit something.
My camera is broke (impermanently I hope!). And Roos is in Italy and has no internet.
Which means. No ability to post our own photo's or something else I painted or something like that.
Sucks. BUT. There's so much to find on the internet what inspires me that isn't my own but what I do like to share with you guys. And I think this is the right oppertunity for it. So for today, some other pictures that I love, get inspired by..
(this last one I found on a blog of someonelse.. think it would be fair if I give you the link to it: http://tuula.tumblr.com

Something that worked very well for me today.:
-Shave your leggs
-Put a clay mask on your face (Dr. Van Der Hoog)
-Put in a hairmask: 2 eggs and 4 tablespoons of olive oil (I know. sounds disgusting but does work!!)
-Get a shower to wash the hair mask out &&& scrub your body! (Etos senses body scrub)
-Apply lotion & creams all over your body, face, feet, hands
-Get a ' Honey peel-off' Masks on your face (Dr. Van Der Hoog)
-Get your nails clear: cut and file! &&& apply a transparent nail-polish.
You'll feel lovely!

TOOOOO LATE. I know I know I know..
But today (or maybe I need to say; "yesterday" )I had noo time 'cause it was Roos' BIRTHDAY!
Applause for her past 16 years..
I really wanted to post a WHOLE story about this proper, independent, beautiful girl.
BUT (call me random)
there are no words to describe whatever I would try to describe;
To be honest; I would suck and NEVER be pleased with my description about her; us..
She knows, I know.. That's enough. and I wish for all you people out there you'll once meet someone where you'll have the same connection with like us.. you'll be grateful; I can tell !
And to you Roos a last word:
We're still young. No boundries. There's so much left; undiscovered
and there's no need to tell you the rest of that sentence.. You know the story. You('ll) live the story.
Lots of love to you my dear!

Tonight we'll leave Zeeland to return to The Hague.
Ofcourse I think it's sad to leave Zeeland; BUT there's one thing I noticed I'm missing a lot! The ability to go out and SURF !
For my 15th birthday my mother gave me a three-days during surfcourse.. I LOVED IT! Since I was younger I always was inspired by the sea and surfing seemed to be the best sport I could imagine. During my lessons I noticed how well it made me feel and as soon as my lessons were done I wanted to collect enough money to buy my own board and wetsuit so I could surf ALL THE TIME..
I managed to buy my own stuff in a short time and was sooo glad. But time passed and I must admit I practically didn't even surf that much; such a waste!
Right before I went to Zeeland I started to surf again and it really hit me how bad I am even though it's 1,5year ago I bought my own stuff and the part that hit me the most; How much I actually love it.
I have always loved the water; if we went to the beach I spent all my time in the sea.. it's amazing how different the sea is E-VE-RY-TIME and it's so inpiring to try to ride this uncultivated thing..
I would say to all of you, people; GO OUT AND SURF!
